Introducing PsycTHERAPY
APA Books is happy to introduce PsycTHERAPY: a new database of therapy demonstration videos that will launch in September 2011.
Introducing PsycTESTS
APA is pleased to announce that the PsycTESTS database will have a September 2011 release. PsycTESTS serves as a repository for the full text of psychological tests and measures as well as a rich source of structured information about the tests.
Documentation and Training Plans for the New Databases
New documentation and training materials for the new PsycTESTS and PsycTHERAPY databases are being created and webinar training sessions will be provided.
APA Library Advisory Council Meets in DC
The APA Library Advisory Council met at APA headquarters in Washington, DC on Friday, April 22, 2011. Topics of discussion included discovery services, demand-driven acquisition, and adapting to patron use of mobile devices.

Dr. David Baker, Margaret Clark Morgan Executive Director of the Center for the History of Psychology at the University of Akron wins the 2011 APA Award for Excellence in Librarianship.
The Conference Issue
In this issue of PsycINFO News, we're focusing on APA's 2011 spring and summer conference attendance. Like Chaucer's pilgrims, each spring we feel the pull of the road and the need to meet face-to-face with our fellow information professionals in new settings.
Association of Independent Information Professionals (AIIP)
At the AIIP Conference this year, a Customer Relations Trainer held back-to-back sessions on the day set aside for vendor training and returned very pleased with her experiences with both the conference and the conferees she met there.
Medical Library Association (MLA)
The Medical Library Association works to promote the importance of quality information for improved health to the global health care community and the public. This year's meeting was held in Minneapolis in mid-May, with a theme of "Rethink."
American Library Association (ALA)
At this year's ALA Annual convention, APA staff demonstrated PsycTESTS and PsycTHERAPY and hosted a Librarians' Breakfast and Lunch & Learn training sessions.
Special Libraries Association (SLA)
At this year's Special Libraries Association conference, the APA training focused almost exclusively on the new PsycTESTSâ"¢ and PsycTHERAPYâ"¢ databases.
